Guests at the Met Gala on Monday night filled the Madison Square Garden in search of the perfect accessory. Unlike the fashion trend-setters filling the front row, nominees and attendees at the spring fashion event were literally decked out in the latest merchandise from Louis Vuitton.
The famed fashion house chose to debut the latest collection of its “Airplanes” shoe alongside Storm Reid, who plays Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog” in Disney’s “Black Panther” franchise, in one of its regular collaborations with The Met.
While the latest Charlotte Olympia dress that Mara Hoffman was wearing was dubbed “the most dangerous piece of footwear I’ve ever seen,” guests were also decked out in one of Louis Vuitton’s latest footwear collaborations, this time inspired by aviation in collaboration with Oscar de la Renta.

For the second year running, Dior tapped Emma Raducanu to walk the runway. Rounded out with Dior backcombed hair and a white periwinkle jumpsuit, the 43-year-old Austrian model stars in Dior’s spring 2019 campaign, which will be formally unveiled by the brand at its 105th anniversary event in Monaco on Monday, June 10.
