The Detroit Institute of Arts looks to change the way Detroitans view the future of the city, with new plans for a thriving arts complex.

From Detroit to Indianapolis: the idea of changing the perceptions of communities is something the DIA and individuals in the community are passionate about. With its latest plan, the museum looks to do just that with its new Global Center for Creative Convergence (C3).
(Mutter) “If you think of Detroit as an architect and a lot of the structures in this city have been designed in an iconic, sort of rock and roll, out of the box way, there is a wonderful freedom to building a new building here in a more traditional context.”
DIA Executive Director Mauricio Muñoz says the new complex would sit near the zoo in a landscaped triangle that would be home to every facet of cultural activity, from music and movies to programs on music therapy.
