Alex Baldwin decided to pull off his Burberry suit and tie during a press conference for the movie “Rust” in D.C.
The screenwriter behind the project told us he understood that Baldwin wanted a change of clothes to change the topic — one that film critics and journalists have been talking about — from the travelogue aspects of the movie to its secret CIA mission.
“We’ve been doing this press conference and it’s been so many people wanting to ask questions and we just realized we had a panel and it would go really, really, really late if we stay here and I’d rather have him [speak] on his time and get him to talk for us,” screenwriter Robert Bierman said to the Huffington Post.
Readers speculated on Twitter that Baldwin must be following the ball by walking around and media scrutiny … or simply fighting with someone on the set.

“No. He was really cooperative. He really has been a valuable participant. What he does for the business is just stunning,” Bierman told the paper.
Bierman said he was working with the actor to research the project so that, “By the time the movie comes out you won’t understand this guy,” he told HuffPost.
But it’s definitely not “part of the entertainment part” of the job, he told the paper.
